We’ve had a lot to do and enjoy at the nursery this winter. We were contacted by Boogie Mites to say they were trying to create some intergenerational music and movement classes, we were obviously very excited by the concept and we were teamed up with St Vincent’s care home along the seafront. We visit on a fortnightly basis and Boogie Mites run the class. The children join the elderly residents in some singing and movement activities. The care homes have seen a massive change in the residents in that they are interacting with the children and a lot more animated during the session. Both parties look forward to the visits and ask when the next visit is. We have formed a good relationship with the care home and plan to visit for arts and crafts and gardening with the residents.
We have also started preschool Pilates this term with Everybody Pilates, take a look at some of the movements the children have learnt.
